I am excited to be taking time to write! God has put many things on my heart and I have also seen His hand at work in my life and other's lives and how His strength has enabled us to overcome and breakthrough! Recently I was invited by Lando Klassen to do a concert at House of James and gladly accepted! Lando is a good friend and has been a great part of our journey in music ministry. House of James has won various awards as the top Christian Music and Books Store in all of Canada! It is amazing to see how House of James has continued growing and being of strategic impact for the Kingdom of God.

 

So when Lando called me, all was smooth sailing in the world of Claudia Santiago, then the Chilean earthquake hit, I was traveling to California and Calgary and this date was smack in the middle....so I said to Lando "I don't know if I get up on stage and sing...or share as my heart is saddened for the Chilean people.he said, I completely understand...let me know in a couple days."

So I prayed about it and I sensed God leading me to go for it and share with the audience at House of James what He is doing in the midst of turmoil, to worship Him in the midst of crisis, to encourage people that we can overcome when we are strengthened by Him".  So I called Lando back and said  "I'm comin'! tears and all...I'll come celebrate life in Christ "Viva La Vida!"

 

That night, I sang some songs, the people sang with me, they danced, I also shared some pics from Chilean earthquake, about my work with World Vision Canada and how they could help the Chilean people, about my recent interviews with CNN and Larry King Live etc..

 

Another thing that happened one day before the concert I was contacted by Chilean Media. They heard about the concert I was going to do and that I was going to be bringing attention and calling for prayer for Chile...so they asked me to take pictures as they wanted to do an interview because they wanted to publicise the story in print media that would go throughout Chile! They wanted to let the Chilean people know that people in Canada and USA are thinking, praying and providing practical help to them during this difficult time..read more

Being in Seattle, WA for Christian Musicians Summit was great! I was there helping host Tom Jackson Productions - 'Onstage Success Seminar'. I shared first hand how Tom's approach to connecting with the audience has truly helped me communicate what God had put in my heart to share in ministry through my songs and speaking. I have learned much from Tom and his team and continue to as God opens new doors in ministry in live settings as well as with television and other interviews. I love working with artists in ministry settings, but I also love passing on the tools and techniques that I've learned to help them be successful! So, has been truly an honor to have been involved in various things Tom has invited me to and help other artists. It was awesome to see worship leaders and artists from all over the country there. It was inspiring, fruitful and a great sense of community amongst everyone! Tom Jackson had some great things to share at the seminar and it was great to see people have an 'Aha!' moment. Daaaaalllas Texaaaas!! Yee-haw! K...can you tell I looove Dallas??? hahaha.... love the city, the people, the food...m-m-m - wow, we hit a Barbeque restaurant - where they serve your meal on this cool wax paper...crazy yummie! Anyways, I was there for International Breakthrough Ministries Conference, met some incredible people that are leaders influencing all the 7 spheres of influence: Religion, Family, Government, Media/Communications,  Arts & Entertainment, Business, Education. When I sang in front of these incredible men and women of God, I have to say, I 'gulped' as I could hardly believe God would be placing me in front of them to share my music and what God has put in my heart. Puerrrrrrrrto RRRRRRicoooo! K...I am rolling my 'RRRRs' 'cause I love how the Latinos say it! What can I say...it's been a ride. Never thought I'd end up in Puerto Rico, back and forth to this tropical paradise many times after touring the cold freezing provinces of Canada! Don't get me wrong, Canada is a paradise of it's own, especially beautiful in the winter with the snow, but you gotta have many layers on - trust me!  Along with many other artists, producers, media people, we joined Latin American Childcare and Tom Jackson Productions to bring aid to many children through concerts and festivals. I was the spokesperson and artist associate speaking/singing on behalf of so many needy children needing help throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. Third Day comes to Abbotsford! Along with Third Day and World Vision Canada, we joined this concert event to aid many children suffering in poverty throughout the world. My debut album "Can You Tell Me?" and Third Day's CDs were  given as a gift to those that sponsored children. ..read more 

 

Wow this year was packed with many travels to tropical places!  which I call it the tropical year....I spent much time in Puerto Rico and Miami. I was at Expolit Miami for the first time! Loved being with the Latino artists, media and ministry people. I was in various media interviews sharing about the release of my debut album 'Can You Tell Me?' - released the Spanish radio single "Al Ritmo De Tu Corazon" and "Me Cubres Dios". read more and see pics

 

 

Missions Fest in Vancouver, British Columbia was incredible this year as my husband and I took part in a youth rally with Dr. Tony Campolo. When I was a teen, I went to a conference in California where Dr. Campolo was speaking. His message challenged my heart, and I had one of those moments in my life where I laid down my agenda for God's agenda. I truly believe it was a time God used Dr. Campolo to touch a part of my heart so that I would step into the beginnings of my ministry today. Never did I imagine that I would also be part of ministering with him to do the same for other young people! It was an awesome time of worship, incredible message by Dr. Campolo, and seeing so many young people respond to sponsoring a child through World Vision! It was also awesome to see the young people sign up to be part of some of Tony's projects he has in the inner city of New York. It was an incredible time that I will always remember!

 

 "Can You Tell Me? Tour" began in Canada from West Coast to East Coast (17 cities) - where I shared music from the album, shared my testimony of how God has been working in my life in:  Churches (English, Spanish, Multi-cultural), Festivals, Women's Conference,  Gospel Music Association Conference, Missions Fest, Schools, Highschools, Music &Book Stores, radio and television interviews, even visited with our MP in Parliament - sat in the Prime Ministers chair, at the Cenotaph on Remembrance Day ....read more
